Java Andorids & Web Technologies

December 17-19, 2010

A three day Workshop on Java Androids & Web Technologies was organized by the department of computer science and engineering, JUET, Guna in collaboration with Computer Society of India and Sun Microsystem from December 17-19, 2010.

The overall objective of the workshop was to provide the participants the full exposure to current trends in java web technologies, discussing the issues with conventional web techniques, their implementation and testing, understanding different web based frameworks, design patterns, web services, exposure to xml and related technologies, handling web security issues and web applications in mobile & wireless.
The broad areas of workshop were:

1. Markup Languages: HTML, SGML, XML, CSS & JavaScript
2. Java Web Technologies: Servlets & JSP, Apache Struts, JSF, EJB
3. Other Frameworks : Hibernate , Spring
4. Web Services : Writing, Configuring, Deploying & Testing Web Services, SOAP, REST
5. Web Security: Cryptography, Digital Certificates, Digital Signature, Secure Socket Layer
6. Intelligent Java: Soft Computing with Java
7. Wireless Internet: Mobile IP, Mobile TCP, GPRS, 3G, 4G

Industry Experts along with Academicians with proven knowledge, industrial experience, and demonstrable ability in teaching, consultancy, research, and training in the field of Java, Web Technologies and related areas were delivered and demonstrated lectures, along with hands on practices.
