Short Term Training Programme

Power Plant Simulator

A one week short term training programme for ten engineers from Jaypee Bina Power Plant, Bina, M.P. was organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology, Guna from 26-31 December, 2011.

All participants were engineering graduates with substantial experience in power plant operation. They were given the theoretical inputs in the form of class room teaching relating to engineering of minor and major equipments including, condensation system, boiler, turbine and electrical generator. The main concern of this training programme was the practice on power plant simulator of 660 MW. Participants were made aware of the controlling of power plant parameters which can be critical sometime in operation. They were taught the rectification procedure of sudden failures of equipments.

This programme was a great success and participants as well as authorities appreciated it.
